As You Wish…

It has been said that to watch The Princess Bride with me is something along the lines in equality to jumping out of a plane without a parachute. I’m not particularly sure whether that plane was on the tarmac or at altitude, so I can not say as to whether this is a good thing or a bad one.

My wife, my kids, and anyone who has ever seen this movie with me will tell you that it is a bad thing.

Mainly because I can quote the movie almost word for word.

Too Blave!

The Best Movie....Ever
The Best Movie….Ever

Ok, to start, I would never want this film remade. It is perfect just the way it is. (It happens to be my all time favorite movie, so.. biased? Yeah, just a bit.)

So, let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up.

Over the last 25 years, my wife and I have been compared to the love story that takes place in that movie. (fine, I’m the one doing the comparing… stop judging). From the ‘farm boy’ who is ‘poor and perfect’ to “Since the invention of the kiss, there have been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure… this one left them all behind.” Continue reading Too Blave!
